Together in Life

How we work.

As suggested by the name of our non-profit, we see collaboration as an important driver of sustainable and sizeable impact. This, combined with the firm belief in the capacity of every human to achieve greatness given the right environment, and the understanding that opportunities are the building blocks of a better future, defines the foundation upon which our actions are built.

How we work.

01

Charity vs. sustainability

Both are important tools, necessary for us to progress as society, but understanding the core difference between the two is crucial for our success. While charity is the primary tool for immediate relief, sustainability requires another approach based on an understanding of basic human instinct of self-preservation.

Together in Life is therefore prioritizing projects that focus on building enabling environments, creating opportunities, and providing skills and tools rather than fast relief, and integrates long-term impact objectives into both its non-profit and charitable activities.

02

Greatness as the base assumption

Every project starts from the premise that greatness is a given, and opportunity is what’s missing. Our founder’s main insight, working in developing countries worldwide, is the realization that people only appear lazy when they feel they don’t have the capacity to create change, and that the main obstacle is rarely their capacity to act, but rather the environment that enables them to do so.

Together in Life’s core focus is not changing who people are, but providing them with the opportunities and the environment to unleash their potential.

03

Support the committed

Together in Life’s projects are not for everybody; they are designed to work for and provide support to those who are ready to receive it. Commitment, dedication, and the right set of values of responsibility, integrity, and discipline, are the basic ingredients we are looking for, believing that by strengthening those who are ready, we create the incentive, motivation, and inspiration for those who are not yet ready.

04

Sustainability by design

We believe sustainability is key and should be embedded in every project’s DNA. To achieve that objective, we learned to see income generation as a crucial element that every project should integrate, leading us to manage our non-profit projects with the same discipline and rigor as profitable ventures. Income is not a bad word; it is a necessary condition for long-term sustainability.

Our team constantly works to find the right model for the specific task ahead. We believe in our capacity to innovate and make the right adjustments to achieve a sustainable.

05

Respect for local knowledge

At our core, we believe in and profoundly respect local knowledge and make a conscious effort to constantly integrate it into the design and implementation of our projects. Local experts, schools, NGOs, artists, companies, ministries, and volunteers contribute knowledge, experience, perspectives, and understanding we might lack, completing the picture and transforming great ideas and strong will into practical reality.
